Volunteers!

As the first recipient of the statewide Volunteer Medallion in 1995 for superior volunteer service, the Hollister Hills Volunteer Patrol exemplifies the highest standard of public service. This is the type of service Hollister Hills visitors deserve and have come to expect. 

The Volunteer Patrol is a group of dedicated riders who assist park staff on their own time at their own expense. These individuals are out on the trails to assist you and ensure your riding experience is enjoyable and safe.  

Our volunteers are very knowledgeable about the park and are trained in CPR and first aid. Volunteers assist the Ranger staff on medical calls, searching for missing  persons, hazard and fire detection, and riding sweep for special events.
